‘Sleat Odyssey’, Sun Odyssey 439

The Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 439 reflects the latest design trends for cruising yachts, with dynamic lines, a hard chine on the hull, lots of hatches and windows along with bevelled edges on the deck, all from the pen of Philippe Briand.
Not only is the ‘Sleat Odyssey’ beautiful, but also simple and comfortable. On deck, the mainsail has single line reefing, with sail controls which lead back to Lewmar winches in the spacious cockpit. On the foredeck, there is an electric windlass to power up or down the anchor. The extensive coachroof allows plenty of room for the dinghy to be stowed on deck even if fully inflated. Back in the cockpit, the walkthrough transom allows for easy boarding and disembarking. Al fresco dining is a delight at the generously proportioned cockpit table.
The chart plotter is located at the helm, and down below in the navigation area there is Navtex and a VHF/DSC radio, as well as charts, CCC pilot books and lots of other useful reading material about sailing in the area. The sail wardrobe consists of mainsail, roller furling genoa, and an easy to use storm jib. The boat comes complete with a fully integrated autohelm, as well as a powerful Yanmar 54HP engine.
The ‘Sleat Odyssey’ boasts 4 double cabins, as well as a saloon with a double berth conversion. All cabins have warm air heating for those cold Hebridean nights, as well as 12v chargers for your phones. A music system with USB/CD/MP3 Aux Input is available for your entertainment. The galley area is complete with a cooker, fridge and all the galley equipment necessary for a full complement of ten people on board.
