Suggested Itinerary
Guests board Endeavour, at Port Hamble or otheragreed location from 9am and enjoy a breakfast on board of bacon rolls and brioche. At 10:30am Endeavour departs from Port Hamble down Southampton Water towards Cowes. We sail over to Cowes and west along the coast of the Isle of Wight before turning towards the mainland and into the mouth of the Beaulieu River. We cruise up the Beaulieu River, a nature reserve owned by Earl Montagu of Beaulieu, to Buckler’s Hard, where we moor up at around 12:30pm. Buckler’s Hard is a beautiful and historic village, famous for building Men ’o’ War for Nelson, amongst others. Guests disembark for a visit to the Master Builder’s House Hotel and sightseeing or they may simply stay on board and relax.
Lunch is served on the top deck and in the saloon at about 1:30pm. At approximately 2:30pm Endeavour sets sail and makes its way down the River and back over to the Island. Depending on the prevailing currents and winds we anchor in an appropriate bay where swimming, sunbathing and relaxing are the order of the day. Drinks and refreshments are served all day and afternoon tea is served at around 4pm, returning to Hamble at around 5:30 pm.
Crew, Moorings and Fuel Costs
In normal circumstances Endeavour carries a complement of two crew member. All normal operating costs are included in the charter fee.
Catering
The standard menus are included in the cost of the charter along with good quality red, rosé and white wines, beer, Pimms or similar, soft drinks, mineral water, tea and coffee all available throughout the day.
Guests must wear soft shoes and we recommend that you bring a towel and wind/splash jacket, sun cream and sunglasses.
